Welcome!

The Friends of Poynette Game Farm is a 501c(3) non-profit organization (application pending) dedicated to the support of outdoor programs offered by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources - State Game Farm in Poynette, Wisconsin.  These programs include:

1. Outdoor skills programs, including Learn to Hunt and Youth hunting events.
2. Providing game bird hunting opportunities on private and public lands through a game bird stocking program.
3. Support educational programming for the conservation and stewardship of wild game, including habitat management, safe and ethical hunting practices, gun safety, use of well-trained hunting dogs, and the preparation and consumption of wild game.

We believe the future of hunting, especially small game hunting, depends on getting youth and novice hunters paired with an experienced mentor and providing quality upland game bird hunting opportunities through a stocking program.  We also believe a well-trained hunting dog is a valuable conservation tool and an essential element to the overall hunting experience.
